Our core team is here to serve, equip and lead our church into all that God has for us. We consider it a blessing to follow their lead, while we know that God has entrusted good work to them for our benefit.
Mike & Kelly Frylink
Senior Pastors
Pastors Mike and Kelly have been serving together in church communities for just over 26 years and have a real love for people.
They are passionate about seeing people encounter Jesus in a real way and to discover His amazing plan for their lives.
They have both worked in a variety of rolls in the community over the years, including; Carpentry, Counselling, Social Work, and Secondary School Music and English.
Mike and Kelly have been married for over 25 years and are parents to four beautiful girls – Jena, Ella, Kira and Melia.
Chris & Clarissa Valentine
Assistant Pastors
Chris and Clarissa have been serving in churches in both Queensland and Victoria for the past 15 years, serving in a variety of capacities, and have a love and desire for Jesus.
They desire to see people come into a passionate and powerful relationship with Jesus and continue to encourage people to pursue Jesus with their entire lives.
Chris and Clarissa answered the call to move to Queensland with their two boys Owen and Miles in 2022. This decision has led them to a place where they feel God is opening up pathways to step out in faith here at The Gathering.
Matt & Jade Drennen
Worship Team Leaders & Church Admin
Matt and Jade have served on teams within the Gathering for over 7 years, and now lead our worship team. Jade also serves the church in an administration role.
Matt and Jade's passion lies in creativity and unlocking a lifestyle of worship in our church family. Their goal is to serve the Lord with diligence that brings Him honour.
Matt is currently studying a course in counselling.
Matt and Jade are parents to seven children and enjoy spending time with their kids in the great outdoors.
Ray and Glenda Cullen
Board Director & Seniors Ministry
Ray and Glenda are faithful members of our community and have been part of our church for over 50 years. Ray has been involved in small business for over 50 years, served 43 years with the Gideons including as National President, and have raised a family of including four adult children, now married and raising 17 grand-children.
Ray and Glenda are a great blessing to our church family and lend their wisdom and experience to our Overcomers ministry and our church board.
