Bread of Life and True Vine
Jesus' referring to Himself as the Bread of Life and the True Vine indicates how we depend on Him in every way. Apart from Christ, we are cut off from our source and have no ability to produce or provide for ourselves.
Introduction
As we consider Jesus as our daily Bread of Life and our source of supply as the True Vine, we see not only our total inability to produce godliness of our own strength but also God's commitment to sustain us and make us frutiful. We are in every way supported, nurtured and provided for when we remain in Him and committed to Him as our source in every area of life.
