Immanuel & Good Shepherd

Introduction

Many of us might think of the Christmas story when we think about the name Immanuel. While this connection is important and correct, the name Immanuel holds deep meaning as it reveals the truth of God being with us in the person of Jesus. Jesus being born as a human being brings God closer to us than ever before. We also discover the character and care of Jesus in the name of Good Shepherd, a name that Jesus used to help us understand the way that He cares for, knows and goes to great lengths for us.
